Where is the largest LGBTQ ski week in the world?

Aspen Gay Ski Week

The last time I went skiing was in 7th grade in Scranton PA. Little did I know that at 38 years old I was going to head to the largest Gay Ski Week in the WORLD. After checking into the gorgeous Limelight Hotel in Aspen, I was ready to trade in my cowboy hat for a lime green ski cap and face the lavish mountains of Aspen Colorado. Aspen Gay Ski Week hosted by Visit Dallas was filled with community. I immediately felt a part of the LGBTQ ski team and hit the slopes.

The entire week was filled with upscale dining, Cowboy shops, Apres Ski, radiant shows, and mega Queer-themed parties all over town.

It doesn’t matter if you are a beginner skier or a top-notch snowboarder- this week is for you! These gays did however try to MURDÊR ME…

The point of Aspen Gay Ski Week is to raise money for Aspen Out which then distributes the funds on a local and National level for major LGBTQ causes.

The most magical part of the week was being a judge in the downhill ski competition with other influencers from around the world while raising money for such vital causes in our community.

Dallas did a fabulous job being visible throughout the week without taking focus from the main cause- raising funds for the LGBTQ community. Dallas knows that for us to show up where they are- they need to show up where we are…and they did exactly that! Check out what folks had to say below!
